A Floral Christmas Tree
This year’s Christmas tree is one filled with botanical blooms in a natural yet luxurious fashion. We’re trimming the tree in beautiful shades of natural browns, white, and green in this floral Christmas tree. Fun tip, I like to find a tree that’s full-bodied and a few feet taller than the ceiling height. I then have the trunk and top trimmed down to fit the space to create a really nice and full shape. This gives you stronger branches and a wider base with more space to fill with beautiful petals and greenery. Ephemeral white ruffled blooms of roses, peonies, and lilies are found in this full-bodied blue spruce Christmas tree. I like to drape the olive branches in the beginning to create a natural cascading garland. It’s a subtle-touch, but the layers of details are what give way to this stunning tree. Soft and fragrant white flowers dot the tree to give it a snow-kissed look and fill the room with a beautiful balance of evergreen and sweet roses, peonies, and lilies. In coordination with the gift-wrapping palette of natural cotton cord, fresh greens, and black satin ribbon, the adornments on the tree are in kind. Luxurious black satin bows fill the tree while glass ornaments filled with cotton cord and moss add texture and a glassy exterior to reflect the Christmas lights. It’s safe to say that this floral Christmas tree is one for the books and no better way to wrap 2020!

STEPS
After lighting the Christmas tree with white Christmas lights, place the pine cones throughout the tree to create a natural base.
Using the olive branches, create a natural cascading garland in alternating areas of the tree. Then insert the privett berries throughout the tree.
Hang the glass ornaments throughout the tree.
Prep all the flowers by filling water tubes and inserting the stems of flowers into the tubes.
Start with the green ball dianthus and place them in little nooks and crannies of the tree to give it a natural moss growth aesthetic.
Then insert the rest of the roses, lilies, and peonies throughout the tree.
For the final step, place the black satin bows on outreaching branches to create additional depth and intrigue.
As the flowers drink the water in the tubes, you will want to refill the tubes every day or so. I would keep additional flowers on hand so as the flowers turn, you can swap them out with fresh blooms. This tree is a bit more demanding to ensure full faced blooms, but it is definitely worth the beauty.
