A Roxbury Night Out

IMG_8997-2-Edit.jpg

Last week I celebrated my birthday with friends out on the town at Comedor and neighboring Garage Bar. It was a pretty special night and with every special night requires that special look. I always enjoying pulling together an outfit that completes any party I host. And for a birthday outfit, I always aim for next level. I’m a big fan of highs and lows and you don’t always have to be decked out in the latest couture to get the look you want.

Although my vision for the look wasn’t initially inspired by Ferrell’s A Night at the Roxbury (as my brother quickly pointed out), I’m into the fact that my sartorial approach to this comedic duo’s night-out look really works. With a more formal dinner party, it’s been known for the host to wear a velvet smoking jacket and I leaned into that with a luscious, jewel-toned velvet tuxedo jacket. Read below for the full outfit breakdown.
