‘Golden Sunnies’ Florals
An explosion of golden yellows that emanates cheery thoughts, the ‘Golden Sunnies’ is a bright start to the week. In this beautiful array of yellow hues, the variety of blooms adds plenty of texture and intrigue. What started out as one larger arrangement, overflowed to a trio of yellow plumes. Separating out a grouping of tulips and a few bunches of daffodils highlights these flowers and also gives you a bit of flexibility to add a bit of color to a few different areas. Or if you prefer, a grouping of all three arrangements to really make a ‘golden sunnies’ statement.

3 vintage vessels
24 stems yellow peony-tulips
24 stems yellow Dutch tulips
3 bunches of yellow ranunculus
3 bunches of golden-yellow ranunculus
1 bunch yellow spray roses
12 stems of large ‘Crespedia’ balls
6 bunches of local daffodils
6 stems of yellow spider chrysanthemums
STEPS
Set aside a grouping of tulips and a grouping of daffodils to use in two separate smaller vessels.
For the main arrangement, start with the shorter stem dutch tulips and yellow ranunculus. These tuber stems are more fragile and is best to insert these stems earlier in the process.
After creating the base of yellow ranunculus and tulips, start with the spray roses and peony-tulips to create texture and depth to the arrangement. Place the stems closer in and further away to add dimension to the arrangement and to help fill any gaps or holes.
Layer in the crespedia balls tucked into the arrangement as well as a few that stand out as a feature.
Layer in the chrysanthemums and golden ranunculus as the final touch.
Then with the two remaining vessels, arrange the groupings of daffodils and tulips.
Top off the vessels with water and give the petals a spritz of water to hydrate.
