‘Lemon Yellow and Ethereal Green’ Florals
Happy Easter friends! For this year’s table, we are going full lemon yellow in palette mixed with lush greens to create an ethereal tablescape. Bold pops of yellow are introduced with reflexed tulips, Meyer lemons, narcissus daffodils, chamomile, and flowering forsythia branches. Soft, textural greens in Queen Anne’s lace, leafy branches, and maiden fern flows throughout the table for a natural and inviting finish. I layered textured linens and traditional crystal for a bit of glam and formality. Varying heights in candlelit ambiance are set with the low votives and taller crystal taper. And for that special touch, we hand stitched place cards with matching chamomile flowers for each place setting and a sprig of fresh cut maiden fern laid on top.
‘Lemon Yellow and Ethereal Greens’ Florals
FLORALS + SUPPLIES
Ceramic low vessel with 6” opening
5 stems yellow tulips
6 stems narcissus daffodils
1 bunch Queen Anne’s Lace
1 bunch chamomile
2 Meyer lemons
1 Forsythia branch
Bamboo skewers
STEPS
Starting with the chicken wire, shape it into a ball and place it inside the ceramic vessel. Expand the chicken wire within the vessel so it sits securely and just at the lip of the bowl.
Fill the bowl with water.
Next, reflex or open up the petals of the tulip and set aside. Arrange the tulips and insert the stem into the chicken wire cage. Cut a few tulip stems shorter so that the blooms sit closer to the chicken wire.
Arrange the daffodils to help fill in any holes in the arrangement.
Using the chamomile and Queen Anne’s Lace, arrange to create texture and shape. Placing a few stems further away and closer in will create an organic feel to the arrangement.
Using the bamboo skewer, insert into the Meyer lemons and then secure it within the arrangement.
Place the forsythia branch for the final touch.
Top off the vessel with water to ensure all stems are submerged.
