Pink Cloud Flower Bar

We celebrated a friend’s birthday this weekend with a showstopping ombré pink cloud of gypsophila and an amazing flower bar. The party theme was childhood favorites and in lieu of a candy bar, we thought a fun alternative would be to create a flower bar where guests would be able to take home fresh blooms to enjoy throughout the week. To help anchor the space, this pillowy soft cloud of baby’s breath tinted in shades of blush, coral, and pink effortlessly floated above a table filled with stunning blooms!

FLORALS + SUPPLIES

  • Ceiling hooks

  • 1” mesh chicken wire

  • 24 bunches of gypsophila ‘Baby’s Breath’

  • 2 cans of Coral Bell, Just for Flowers

  • 2 cans of Osiana Peach, Just for Flowers

  • 1 can of Poppy, Just for Flowers

  • 25 stems of ‘Pink Floyd’ roses

  • 25 stems of ‘Shimmer’ peach roses

  • 50 stems of ‘Trueno’ carnations

  • 36 stems of apricot ranunculus

  • 36 stems of pink mums with yellow centers

  • 3 bunches of purple wax flower

STEPS

  1. Start with the chicken wire and create a cloud shape and secure it to the ceiling using ceiling eye hooks.

  2. Using your floral color tint sprays, spray all the baby’s breath in varying shades and set aside to let dry.

  3. Start to build the cloud by inserting the stems of baby’s breath into the chicken wire and creating depth by arranging a few of the baby’s breath closer in and further out.

  4. Continue to fill out the cloud and alternating lighter and darker shades of pink. It’s best to assemble the cloud closer to the event as the baby’s breath will start to dry and the blooms will shrink a bit.

  5. For the flower bar, use glass hurricanes in various heights and separate the different flowers and arrange on a pedestal time underneath the pink cloud.
